Double Chin / Submental Fullness

IT'S NOT JUST A CHIN. IT'S YOUR PROFILE.

What Causes a Double Chin?

Submental fullness, commonly called a double chin, can result from genetics, weight gain, aging, or simply the way fat distributes in your body. Even people at a healthy weight can carry excess fat beneath the chin, and it's one of those areas that diet and exercise rarely touch on their own. It's also one of the most transformable. Elite MedSpa offers multiple non-surgical options to address submental fullness and restore a cleaner, more defined profile.

Frequently Asked Questions

Both are effective, and the right choice depends on your anatomy, the amount of fat present, and your personal preferences. Kybella involves injections and requires multiple sessions. CoolSculpting is a hands-off cooling treatment. Your provider will help you determine which is the better fit at your consultation.

Most clients require two to four sessions spaced at least four weeks apart. The fat cells destroyed during treatment are gone permanently, so results continue to improve with each session.

Kybella typically involves swelling and tenderness beneath the chin for several days to a couple of weeks following each session. CoolSculpting has minimal downtime with some temporary redness or sensitivity. Your provider will walk you through what to expect before your treatment.

The fat cells that are destroyed by Kybella or CoolSculpting do not return. Significant weight gain can affect remaining fat cells, but the improvement in the treated area is considered permanent under stable conditions.
